All Tchaikovsky

This all-Tchaikovsky evening begins with the ebullient ballroom scene from his grand opera Eugene Onegin, then features star Canadian violinist Blake Pouliot in Tchaikovsky’s dazzling violin concerto. The program closes with the great Romantic composer’s final work, premiered just nine days before his untimely death. The Symphony Pathetique is a fitting capstone to the career of a man who’s music, like the man himself, is capable of thrilling highs and gut-wrenching lows.
