Associate Concertmaster Audition: Audition Information (Repertoire List TBA)

The Elgin Symphony Orchestra will hold auditions for the position of Associate Concertmaster on Wednesday, September 2, 2026.

Position Information
The ESO is located approximately 40 miles west of downtown Chicago. The 2026–2027 season runs from September through May and guarantees a minimum of 54 services.

Associate Concertmaster scale: $217.01 per service
Additional benefits: Mileage and 13.189% AFM/EPF pension

As a condition of employment, the winning candidate must become a member of Local #10-208, Chicago Federation of Musicians by the 30th day of employment.

Checks should be made payable to Elgin Symphony Orchestra in U.S. dollars. Deposit checks will be returned at the audition or destroyed upon request. Please include your name and instrument on the memo line and mail your check to:

A confirmation email with the audition booklet, location, and audition block will be sent once your resume and deposit have been received.
